On an existing building, the expensive surprises are in what’s already there. We go looking for them before the drawings are fixed.
Before the drawings are fixed
Our in-house quantity surveyors price the concept, developed, detailed and consent drawings, and we visit the site, so the price reflects what’s actually there. Where a detail is going to challenge the budget, you hear it while it can still be solved on paper.
When the building argues
Existing structure turns up things nobody could have known were there. Experience means we know the options. Decisions are made with confidence, with the architect, the structural engineer and the right trades, and the design intent holds through every change.
Through to handover
We manage the budget, cost plan, programme and subcontractors, with the architect involved at every principal stage.
